Hiii!! My name is Megan and there are a lot of things I love – but one thing you should know is that I love things in 3’s! (Yes, I purposely wanted it to be “MMM” with threee M’s!) There are symbolic reasons that I can get into later when we chat but here are 3 things you should know about Magical Moments by Megan:
Who we are
Magical Moments by Megan is a Wedding + Event Planning company based in Orange County, CA. After 9+ years in various parts of the special event industry, Megan founded the company in San Diego, CA in 2017. While attending the University of California – San Diego, Megan secured an internship with an up and coming event planning company. The internship quickly turned into a full time position and she found herself working on some of San Diego’s largest public events.
Initially, Megan’s expertise was in vendor management, layout and logistics for large scale community festivals + street fairs around the county. Her experience continued to grow as she worked as a Special Event Lead at one of Balboa Park’s museum venues that hosted private dinners, film screenings, fundraising galas and of course – many many weddings! Immediately prior to starting MMM, Megan worked for a large rental company in San Diego as a Sales Rep. Responsible for hundreds of items of event rental inventory, Megan was able to grow her event knowledge even more by working on tenting, flooring, lighting and table design for events ranging from 10 to 100,000 people.
Needless to say, our experience is vast and with 12+ years in the event industry, we are very passionate about what we do. Whether its a small gathering or a large production, Magical Moments by Megan is guaranteed to know how to help with your next event!
Why we do what we do
In 2014, Megan’s paternal grandmother “Wowa” passed away. Rather than breaking down in grief, Megan’s immediate instinct was to plan – she knew it was her duty to give Wowa the celebration that her life deserved. Wowa was always the social one, she welcomed anyone and everyone – her house was the default party spot. She touched many people and it was only natural that her celebration of life be a PARTY. In that experience, during one of life’s hardest moments, planning Wowa’s funeral – Megan felt that THIS was her calling: to help others experience and enjoy life’s most magical moments!
We love people and magical moments are memories that we create with our loved ones. These moments and memories are what we keep with us through life – in happiness + sadness, in sickness + health. MMM dreams to help others create and ENJOY life’s moments in hopes that the memories created will last a lifetime!
How we go about doing what we do
As an event planning company, we believe it is our job to anticipate your needs and do all that we can to make the process as easy as possible. With our customizable event packages, our clients have the choice to be as involved as they want (or don’t want) to be. Events are stressful for many reasons but Magical Moments by Megan wants to carry the weight of that stress for you – freeing you up to do one simple thing: create and enjoy memories to keep forever!
While we DO create magic, the magic does not happen on its own. Magical Moments by Megan has built a vast network throughout Southern California so that we can help our clients with any and all event needs. We believe every client and every event is its own. We have many people that we work with and/or can refer you to so every event is uniquely yours matching your style and budget.
